Committees

The West Allis / West Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce has many committees to assist with planning and administration of various Chamber programs and events. Some of these committees are open to the membership to join and assist. If you are interested in joining a committee, let us know!

All committees will meet monthly or as needed.

 Membership Committee:

Focuses on prospecting for new members and retention of current members.  Reviews member benefits and researches new possible benefits.

Will also be tasked with planning and executing Annual Membership Meeting in March.  This event will either be a breakfast or lunch held at Summit CU in West Allis.

 
Ambassador Subcommittee

Ambassadors - This committee welcomes new members to the Chamber, attends ribbon cuttings and visits current members to make sure the Chamber is serving their needs.


Marketing Committee:

Is committed to developing and implementing marketing initiatives and activities to increase awareness of the Chamber and attract new members.  We are committed to providing compelling and innovative promotional marketing materials and strategies to achieve our goals and to enhance the experience for our chamber members.


Legislative Committee

Seeks to help members keep up with current events in the City, County, and State. We strive to help new and existing businesses operate and thrive in the City and Village.  Monitor construction, road access, zoning, licensing issues and other various matters that affect businesses in our communities.

 
Wellness Committee

Our mission is to act as a resource for chamber businesses to help start and/or build and support their wellness programs.  We facilitate connections among area businesses to support each other, our goal is to create a healthy community and work environments.




Annual Events Committee:

General Description 

This committee will plan the general event details, including schedule of events for the coming year, including dates and locations.  Will review last year’s events and decide how to move forward with those events.

 

Event Sub Committees

These committees will plan, organize and execute the event.   Will plan specific date, time, location and theme for event.  Will stay within prescribed budget for décor, food and venue.  Look at marketing outlets for event as well as general direction of marketing materials.

 
Annual Awards Reception 

This committee organizes the Chamber's Annual Awards reception in April. 

 

Golf Outing

Our Annual Golf Classic and Social event of the summer is held in mid July at Western Lakes Country Club.

 

Forks & Corks

Our only event specifically marketed to the public.  This event is focuses on showcasing Chamber Restaurants as they serve tastings of their cuisine.  We also feature wine and beer samples, music and more.  Event will be held in October.
