The Forestry Division sponsors the annual Commendable Property awards for properties that show pride of ownership and special efforts to maintain the beauty of West Allis. Awards recipients are selected by the Beautification Committee and
honored at an annual commendation ceremony in September of each year. In addition to the award, a sign is posted at each property and the City's Cable Communications Office creates video highlighting each property.
