Happy 50th -- let's get ready to celebrate!
In 2008 the Chamber turns 50! Its just around the corner. The staff and committees are planning special events to celebrate our history. Here's what I ask of you -- do you have a story that you'd like to share? How about old photos -- those are always fun to look at! We're compiling a written and pictorial celebration of our first 50 years for our Gala this year. Let us know what you've got for us. We are happy to make copies of anything that you give to us. To celebrate our 50th, the Chamber will host it's annual business meeting as a luncheon in January. We will move the awards presentation to our Annual Gala. This year, we will expand our awards to honor more businesses and to recognize those that have given of their time and resources to the Chamber for many, many years. Our golf outing promises to be a great event that will offer golf, cruising, an awesome theme and a brand new fun tie-in! Watch for more information regarding our upcoming 50th celebration events in future newsletters!

Finally, I want to thank all that donated school supplies for the Booker T. Washington Public School in New Orleans, Louisiana. The support and generosity of this community was humbling. Our business community is something to be proud of. The teachers and students thank you for the much needed supplies!

Active Business Leads Exchange Networking - NEW ADDITION OF ABLE SOUTH!
A.B.L.E. is “Leads Exchange” at its finest! It’s a group of sincere, committed professionals who are proud of the products and services they represent and are energized by their interaction with others. The Chamber participates in two ABLE Networking events, ABLE West and ABLE South. ABLE West is every two weeks at 7am at Bluemound Gardens with two other Chambers. ABLE South is every fourth Tuesday at Knights of Columbus (103rd & Oklahoma) with six other Chambers.
