Forks & Corks a Success! Thank you to all that attended Forks and Corks at the West Allis Farmer’s Market. Once again over 300 people from all over the Metro Milwaukee area came to West Allis to enjoy great wines and our local cuisine. Many enjoyed the atmosphere of the National City lounge with bakery by Kaiser’s Six Point Bakery and the beautiful artwo rk that was presented by local artists. National City was a tremendous help this year not only as a sponsor, but also being present at the event with over twenty National City representative in attendance. The Chamber would like to thank the many people that make this event possible. Without Golden Harvest Distributing, F&C would not be possible. We would like to thank Quad Graphics and Heritage West Allis for sponsoring the band, Opan Jii, and the Raffle respectively. Also, Rupena’s Fine Foods, Majdecki’s Sentry, Pteris Floral, and Spanglish Multicultural Solutions all for their help in various areas. Finally, I would like to thank Antigua Latin Restaurant, Bunker’s, Crawdaddy’s, Freese’s Candy, Gourmet Cheesecake Shop, Kaiser’s Six Point Bakery, Sprecher Brewing, Knights of Columbus, Schlotzsky’s Deli, WWBIC’s Coffee with a conscience and West Allis Cheese & Sausage. The Forks & Corks raffle, sponsored by Heritage West Allis, was a hit this year with over 500 tickets sold! Carl Carstens won the grand prize, an all expense paid trip for two to the Pietra Santa Winery in Hollister, CA! Did you miss out? Don’t worry, we hold Forks and Corks every year in September and we have already begun planning for 2009.
